Subject: Lift Up that shirt!
Pretty amazing relic from the 1950's about the US Quarantine office, who stopped all travellers, whether it be by ship, train, sea whatever and made sure that they were fit to enter. We first start on ships, where 2 officers enter a ship. One examines all too quickly for rats and insects, while the other, again, in a manner that looks too brief and unsanitary, the crew and passengers of the ship. Usually a check up is just a look in the mouth and that's it. With passengers coming in by plane, I was amazed that every passenger had to go through quarantine, customs AND immigration in order to come into the US. This film is VERY odd and dated, and somehow I think the job took away people's human rights. See for yourself. This is highly reccomended on this site!
